Digital Hive Mind celebrates the 10-year anniversary of Senior Designer & Front-End Developer Jennifer (Jenny) Hurley, whose creativity, versatility, and dedication have helped shape the agency since joining the team in June 2016.

Jenny graduated from Iowa State University in 2016 with a BFA in Graphic Design, and relocated from Ames, Iowa to Rockford to join DHM. What began as a design role quickly evolved into a career defined by adaptability, craftsmanship, and a willingness to tackle just about any creative challenge.

Over the last decade, Jenny has worn many hats in the agency, contributing to graphic design, logo development, illustration, front-end development, exhibit design and trade show management, photography, videography, and more. Her ability to shift seamlessly across disciplines has made her a cornerstone of DHM’s creative team.

Jenny’s impact can be seen across many of the agency’s largest and most successful projects. She has played a key role in more than a dozen website redesigns, led the design and production management of Doc’s Sportsbook from 2017 through its final printing in 2023, and developed corporate collateral for clients including National Tube Supply, Quantum Design, Apace Packaging, and Forest City Gear.

Jenny’s work for Applied Products, A.L. Schutzman, J.L. Clark, PGS, Quantum Roll Sheeter, Remedies Renewing Lives, and Transform Rockford has racked up numerous awards, which decorate an ever-growing place of pride in the DHM office, from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and Graphic Design USA. Most notably, Remedies’ Annual Reports were recognized year after year, earning a Gold ADDY, a Silver ADDY, and a Graphic Design USA award. Jenny also went on to serve as President of the AAF Northern Illinois.

Beyond graphic design, Jenny’s responsibilities have taken her to shop floors and trade show venues across the US. As part of the creative team, Jenny has designed, constructed, and managed trade show exhibits for PCI Pharma Services, Applied Products, National Tube Supply, and Forest City Gear, helping brands translate their stories into memorable in-person experiences. Her work behind the camera has supported countless photography and video productions, both in the studio and on location.

Jenny’s creative fingerprint has helped define several major corporate rebrands, including National Tube Supply, Kaney Aerospace, PGS, Forest City Gear’s 70th Anniversary, and more not yet debuted. Her illustration work has brought personality and distinction to branded promotions ranging from specialty tin packaging projects, to National Tube Supply’s playing card series, and the PUMA x F1 launch activation.

Beyond the work itself, Jenny has become an integral part of DHM’s culture. Known for her humor, kindness, and collaborative spirit, she has built lasting relationships with coworkers and clients alike while helping define the agency’s personality along the way.

As DHM celebrates this milestone, we would like to recognize not only Jenny’s contributions to award-winning creative work, but also the lasting impact she has had on the agency and the people around her.

I’m so appreciative of the dedication and creative effort she puts forth every day. Working with her and watching her grow as an artist, designer, and person over the last ten years has been one of the highlights of my career. Thank you, Jenny, for a fun and inspiring decade.
